Killing Time could very well be Respawn trying out a new idea to increase the excitement of Apex Legends games. From the description, it seems Killing Time will really push the envelope in terms of ring acceleration, but it's possible a similar, more lax system could become a permanent part of the game later

The final game mode coming in Apex 's War Games event is Armor Regen. Shield Cells will be removed from the loot pool entirely, and armor will instead regenerate on its own after a short delay. Eight seconds after taking damage, armor will start coming back at 12 points per second. If armor is completely broken, it will take 16 seconds until it starts regenerating. Armor Regen will start on April 23 and run through the end of the War Games event on April

Lifeline is an all-around great legend who provides a lot of utility to any squad composition she is part of. On Olympus, though, the chance of being third-squadded while calling down her ultimate feels much smaller. Still, her passive and tactical Healing DOC Drone are as useful as on any map . Lifeline's passive lets her revive teammates without pausing a fight, and the player is shielded while they are being revi

Updated May 9, 2022 by Erik Petrovich : As King's Canyon has changed with map updates and events, so too has the Kings Canyon meta. The best legends for King's Canyon tend to be the game's most balanced as the map has a good mix of open and tight spaces that don't particularly favor one playstyle over another. The best Kings Canyon legends are good on offense and defense, and can typically get out of trouble quickly - the map is particularly prone to third parties, after all. These eight legends are the best characters for Kings Canyon in the current Kings Canyon meta, though ultimately every Legend is perfectly usable on this classic

Revenant is a terrifying champion whose very presence on the team is usually accompanied by character-to-character dialogue about the specter-assassin. Revenant's strengths are best used in team battles, where shutting down multiple enemies and giving teammates a second chance can turn the tide of the fight instantaneously . He's good both offensively and defensively, and his passive is very useful for quickly navigating the cliffs' tricky terrain stealth

Olympus is full of open spaces which normally are a nightmare for defense legends, but Catalyst’s ultimate has a workaround. Her ultimate allows her team to safely move in an open area and conceal themselves through her ultim

Although Auto Banners is a small change, it has the potential to create some interesting new gameplay dynamics in Apex Legends . Without the need to retrieve a banner, players might feel more comfortable spreading out from their squad when coming out of the dropship. A player might risk getting more loot for themselves, knowing their team won't have to make a hike to bring them back into the f

King's Canyon is full of points where areas and common paths merge together, which inevitably means lots of action. Grenades are great in team fights, particularly when the enemies are all bunched up together. This has been especially true since the addition of Fuse (who can carry twice the normal amount of grenades and throws them faster and more accurately), and the use of ordnance is becoming more of a factor in the g

Similar to Valkyrie, Ash's strength on King's Canyon is her Ult's ability to go through walls and surfaces. There are a lot of thin canyon walls in King's Canyon that this can take advantage of, and lots of buildings and features that Ash's tactical works amazingly w

War Games' third mode, Auto Banners, runs from April 19 to 21. This one is only a small change, removing the requirement of retrieving a teammate's banner from their death box. Players will be able to go straight for the respawn beacons when a squadmate is killed. Respawn Entertainment has also increased the drop rate of mobile respawn beacons for Auto Banners. While still making it easier to get teammates back in the fight, Auto Banners won't be as forgiving as Second Chance, since getting respawned won't award any of the loot l

Wattson's ultimate ability Interception Pylon is one of the best in the game. It's kind of like a fusion between Gibraltar's shield and Lifeline's healing, but instead of blocking bullets or restoring health, the Pylon blocks grenades and restores shields. In the current meta, defending against incoming projectiles and enemy abilities (e.g. Horizon and Fuse) is crucial, and Wattson comes in clutch against these exact tact

Newcastle’s revive ability allows players to direct downed players to a safer area and lead to a safe revive; however, this is difficult to pull off in close-quarter engagements and is easier for long-ranged fights. Owning a gold knockdown shield will make players going for risky revives worth it due to the increased health and shie

King's Canyon is the oldest map in Apex Legends skins Legends and has had quite the resurgence in popularity in the community after fans have mostly turned on Worlds Edge. While most of the map is contained (as the name might suggest) in various canyons, the areas themselves are complex and huge. Enemy squads can see combat from miles away and will ambush out of absolutely nowhere. The open layout of this map benefits legends who can keep the squad alive long enough to outlast their attack
