Blue Mountains Tours 2026
About Leura Cascades
Hello Guys,
Only if you really think about Hunter Valley?! We have more detailed information about Katoomba
There’s something about Blue Mountains National Park that sticks with you. Maybe it’s the millions of eucalyptus trees releasing that signature blue haze, or the way the cliffs catch fire with gold light as the sun sets while birds fill the valleys with their evening song. Whatever the reason, every time I head west from Sydney Harbour toward the mountains’ fading light, I’m reminded that this park is one of the most breathtaking places in all of Australia.
I’ve been showing visitors the magic of this region — from famous lookouts like Echo Point to underground cave systems to open valleys — for years, and I can honestly say, the Blue Mountains are more than a day trip. They’re a deep breathing antidote to city life, a wild cathedral carved from rock and filled with forest-scented air.
A short 90-minute drive from Sydney’s Circular Quay, the Blue Mountains National Park is part of the wider Greater Blue Mountains conservation region. It’s over one million hectares of preserved wilderness, extending right out to Wollemi National Park. It’s an intricate network of valleys, rainforests and towering eucalypts, home to over 400 species of Australian animals, from curious wallabies to secretive dingoes and mimicking lyrebirds.
